Empowering Biotech Innovation
Accelerating access to life-changing therapies.

Driving Innovation in Biotechnology for Global Health
Why I Started This Blog
I’ve been fortunate to start and build several biotech companies—mostly from the ground up, often from places that didn’t have all the pieces in place. In fact, to get my first real venture going, I had to leave Australia and set up in the U.S., where the infrastructure, mindset, and capital aligned more easily for biotech innovation.
Now, after years navigating both the science and the business of therapeutics—across continents, funding cycles, and technologies—I’m trying to put something back into the public domain. This blog is a way to do that.
These posts reflect lessons learned, observations from the field, and thoughts on where things might go next. They’re based on my personal experiences but don’t represent the views of any companies I’m involved with. My hope is that they help founders, students, policymakers—or anyone curious about the inner workings of biotech startups—find something useful, or at least thought-provoking.
This is not advice. It’s just one perspective. But I believe there’s value in sharing the journey as honestly as possible.
